The Technical Faculty of the University of Bihać hosted the fifth project meeting within the Erasmus+ WBNET project – Network of Centres for Regional Short Study Programmes in the Western Balkan Countries – held on 2 and 3 September 2025. The University of Bihać is a partner in this project, which aims to establish centres for short study programmes at higher education institutions in order to strengthen the connection between education and the labour market. Based on an analysis of employer needs, these centres will develop and implement short study programmes in the technical and technological fields, with a focus on multimedia engineering and programming. The programmes are intended for all individuals seeking to acquire additional skills and competencies. Courses will be delivered by academic staff from partner institutions in the EU and the Western Balkans, as well as experts from the business sector. The implementation of the programmes is planned using modern and blended modes of instruction, with certificates issued that provide a detailed overview of the completed courses and practical training.
The project, running from December 2023 to November 2026, promotes cooperation between higher education institutions and the business sector, as well as the exchange of knowledge and best practices between the Western Balkans and the EU. More information is available at the official web-site of the project.
