On February 6, 2026, the Faculty of Law, University of Bihać, hosted the promotion of the research project Analysis and Harmonization of the Legal Framework for the Trade of Dietary Supplements in Bosnia and Herzegovina with European Union Legislation. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science through 2025 research project funds. It is led by Prof.Dr. Belma Bajrić, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Bihać, and conducted in collaboration with professors from the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Bihać, and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tuzla. The project adopts an interdisciplinary approach, linking legal, biotechnical, and medical aspects of dietary supplement regulation. Its main goal is to analyze Bosnia and Herzegovina’s existing legal framework and harmonize it with European Union regulations, with particular focus on consumer protection, public health, and legal certainty. The promotion was attended by numerous members of the academic community, government representatives at various levels, and media, highlighting the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to this project.
