Regulations on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Education Qualifications at the University of Bihać govern the conditions, manner, procedure, and authorities responsible for the recognition of foreign higher education qualifications for the purpose of access to education (academic recognition) or employment (professional recognition). To initiate the procedure for recognizing a foreign higher education qualification, it is necessary to complete the application form, compile the required documentation, pay the procedure fee, and submit the documentation. The applicant is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided, confirmed by their signature on the application form. The fee for the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification amounts to BAM 200.00.

Documentation required for the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification
1. Original or certified copy of the diploma, i.e., the higher education qualification for which recognition is requested; the educational document must be photocopied in its entirety – including all notes on the reverse side, fine print on the edges, diploma cover, etc.
2. Original or certified copy of the diploma supplement, i.e., a document issued by the higher education institution containing the following:
- Completed courses with grades,
- Official title and duration of the study program,
- Admission requirements (e.g., diploma supplement, transcript of records, and/or another official document issued by the higher education institution; the document must be photocopied in full, including all notes on the reverse side, fine print on the edges, etc.).
3. Decision of the competent authority or a copy of the marriage certificate (for individuals who have changed their first and/or last name).
4. Certified copy of an identity card, passport, or another appropriate document that can verify the identity of the holder of the foreign higher education qualification.
5. Certified translations of the documents listed under points 1 to 3 into one of the official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
6. Proof of payment of the procedure fee.
