On 12 June, 2009, the 5th regular Senate meeting was held under the chairmanship of the acting Rector of the University of Bihac, Prof. Mujo Demirovic.
In the solemn part of the meeting, Rector honored on behalf of Federal Minister of Education and Science the Students Union, as well as three best students of the University of Bihac: Aladin Crnkic, Almir Džanic and Arnela Okic.
In its working part, Senate members discussed the content of a very extensive agenda. Decisions were made on the adoption of the report of the Commission for the evaluation and defense of the doctoral thesis and on the appointment of the Commission for the evaluation and defense of dissertations for two candidates.

Agreement on the decision on acceptance of dissertation theme eligibility for one candidate and on the appointment of a mentor was made.
The Institution’s competence for providing themes for doctoral dissertations was established.
The Commission for assessment of suitability of three Master candidates and the topics of their doctoral thesis was established.
Commissions for recognition of one PhD and a Master diploma were formed.
The consent to the appointment of a certain number of teachers and assistants to teachers and assistant vocations was given, namely three associate professors are appointed assistant professors, two masters were appointed lecturers, one master was appointed senior assistant and seven associates were appointed assistants.
The consent on curricula for postgraduate studies at the University was given.
An innovated curriculum for the Department "Environment protection" at the Faculty of Biotechnical Sciences was adopted. The suggestion was developed curriculum for the direction of "Environment" on the Biotechnical Faculty.
Finally, the book "Food as a symbol in phrases of German and Bosnian languages" was give the status the "University book".
