SENATE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BIHAĆ HELD ITS 6TH MEETING |

 Under the chairmanship of Prof. Refik Šahinović, the 6th Senate meeting was held on February 22, 2010.A comprehensive agenda was discussed. Senate gave a unanimous support and approval for the election of a dean of the Faculty of Law according to the legal regulations of the Teaching and Science Council of the Faculty of Law. Dr. Nevzet Veladžić, assistant professor was elected at the mentioned position and received confirmation of his previous activities. This act expanded the academic autonomy of the University to choose the leading people into the organizational units.In line of appointment procedures of the leading men of the University, Commissions were formed for the selection of rector and vice-rectors and for the election of members of the Steering Board. |

Acting Rector of the University of Bihać, Prof. Refik Šahinović, received on February 19, 2010 in an official working visit, the delegation of representatives from the U.S. Embassy in B&H, Ms.Janet Miller, director of the Office of Culture, Education and Public Affairs and Ms.Elizabeta Delalić, Cultural and Educational Affairs Specialist . |

 At the fourth session of the Senate of the University of Bihać, 11 agenda items were discussed. According to the provisions of positive legislation, Decisions on announcement of competition for the selection of rector and vice-rectors of the University of Bihać were granted.
At the same time, the activity regarding the implementation procedures for the constitution of Teaching-scientific council and announcement of competition for the election of deans at the level of organizational units was initiated. |

POSTPONED ADOPTION OF THE LAW ON AMENDMENTS TO THE LAW OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BIHAĆ |

 At the 45th USC Assembly session, held on January 20, 2010, the delegates discussed, among other things, the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law of the University of Bihać.
After the discussions conducted, they delayed its adoption until the above-mentioned Law does not comply with the Law on Higher Education.
Government of USC is in charge to implement this task in the future. This act gives an additional impulse to the institutions of the University for their rapid extension. |
