 At the University Jean Monnet in Saint Etienneu in France currently the world's mathematical conference "26th Journées Arithmetiques" takes place involving 240 mathematicians from 38 countries from all continents. After the lectures held in Austria, Croatia and Hungary, Bernadin Ibrahimpašic, PhD from the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Bihac held a lecture at this Conference on Tuesday-July 7, 2009. The lecture was entitled " Solving a family of quartic Thue inequalities using continued fractions". |

 On July 7 2009 in the premises of the Rectorate, Prof. Mujo Demirovic and the representatives of the member faculties and the Steering board of the University of Bihac welcomed the Director of the Agency for Higher Education and Quality Assurance in B&H, Prof. Nihad Fejzic who came to an official visit to the University. Prof. Refik Šahinovic, a member of the Steering Board of this Agency, accompanied Prof. Fejzic, as well.
After having been introduced with the current state at this Higher Education Institution, Prof. Demirovic stressed that legal actions have to be undertaken at the University of Bihac despite all various problems.

 On 25 June, 2009, Prof. Mujo Demirovic, the acting rector, and his coworkers held a working meeting with the representatives of WUS Austria, headed by Mr. Dino Mujkic.
The current situation in higher education and at the University of Bihac after passing the Law of Higher Education in USC was discussed, as well as the effects of international relations established at this higher education institution.
