PROMOTION OF GRADUATES FROM THE FACULTY OF PEDAGOGY |

 On March 13, 2010 the former hall of the Cultural Center in Bihać was a place where a grandiose promotion of graduates from the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Bihać took place.
Appropriate cultural and artistic program, the presence of Acting Rector of the University of Bihać and his associates, the highest officials of USC and students with the nearest relatives further enriched this event.

VISIT OF THE AUSTRIAN EMBASSY TO THE UNIVERSITY OF BIHAĆ |

 On March 5, 2010, Prof. Refik Šahinović, acting Rector of the University of Bihać, together with his associates welcomed the Ambassador of Austria in B&H, His Excellency, Mr.Donatus Köck in the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Bihać. Some issues of cooperation and assistance in the field of international relations were discussed.The stress was put on cooperation on the basis of modernizing equipment at the University of Bihać by SOFT LOAN of 5 million Euros approved by the Government of Austria. Measures and activities to be undertaken in cooperation with the cantonal and federal government and the Council of Ministers were coordinated.
This created the preconditions for the final resolution of the problem in the equipping of the University of Bihać as an integrated institution.
As a sign of a fruitful cooperation, Prof. Šahinović handed to the Ambassador the Golden badge of the University. |

WORKING MEETING IN THE RECTORATE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BIHAĆ ON "CRITERIA FOR ACCREDITATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN B&H” |

 Delegation of Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance, led by the Assistant Director of the Agency, Mr. Benjamin Muhamedbegović, held on March 5, 2010 a working meeting in the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Bihać with the coordinators for quality assurance from the organizational units of the integrated University of Bihaću. Prof. Refik Šahinović, acting Rector, expressed his satisfaction that he as a host together with his associates had the opportunity to take an active role in creation of the criteria for accreditation of higher education institutions in B&H through suggestions and proposals.
A set of standards and indicators that define an important area for the accreditation of higher education institutions in B&H were developed by these criteria in accordance with the Framework Law on Higher Education in B&H. |

FIRST WORKING MEETING OF THE CONSORTIUM FOR TEMPUS PROJECT REALIZATION |

 On February 25 and 26, 2010 in Ghent (Belgium), the first working meeting of the consortium for the implementation of the Tempus project titled "The EU standards for accreditation of study programs at universities in B&H” was held.
Mentioned consortium consists of the Ministry of Civil Affairs in his capacity as associate partners, all public universities in B&H, including the University of Bihać, the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance in B&H, SUS B&H, WUS Austria, University of Brasov, IPP Porto, AQU, VLHORA , Kaho Sint-Lieven, and individual experts. |

 Prof. Refik Šahinović, acting Rector of the University of Bihać, attended on February 23, 2010 the meeting of the Steering Board of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance in B&H, which was held in Sarajevo.
On that occasion, the Agency’s work conditions for the last year as the Agency's work plan for 2010 were considered and adopted.
Both acts can be viewed on the site www.hea.gov.ba. As a member of this body Prof. Refik Šahinović expressed high ratings on the work of the Agency and gave constructive ideas and proposals for the planning documents of the mentioned body in the current year. |
